LAB DESCRIPTION

The proportions of males and females at birth are not exactly equal and the death rates by age are different for males and females. These factors lea to the differences between the age distributions of males and females. The demographic statistics used in this simulation are based on actual data for selected countries.

The start button starts the simulation. If it is not stopped it will continue until the end of the selected interval. The stop button will stop the simulation. Pushing the start button again restarts it. Step advances it for one time step. See the descriptions of the input and output variables for more details on the controls and displays.
