Second Round

We have finished our first round of testing! Our agarose gel finally turned out clear and we were able to see the DNA staining. Hopefully our new blue light transilluminator will come in soon so we can examine the individual DNA bands. In the meantime, we have begun another round of testing with 7 new individuals, including a father and a son. This will give us knowledge into the hereditary patterns of the PTC genes. We have two more steps left in this round and hopefully our gel will end up just as clear.
