Today I tried to look for the 3d Scanner that attaches the ipad to begin scanning someone as a test run to learn how to use the scanner efficiently and in an accurate way. I unfortunately could not find the scanner. I have found some free resource x-rays that I can use as references until Dr. Bill comes back from the bay area and I can use the camera and some real x-rays and potentially MRIs and CAT scans. I need to collaborate with some of the 3D “modelers” in the group. I have heard a lot about blender but It seems so very complicated. I have a great interest in learning it because I am very interested in pursuing a BXA at Carnegie Mellon where I can explore the intersection between art and biomedical engineering. In the next coming week I need to learn more about blender and how to use it for something that is quite complicated like a face.
