    New EEG Head Set

Today we have been experimenting with the new EEG head set that we have received last week. Because the sensors of the headset are new, it was hard at first to get good connection at firs due to the lack of saline solution. However, after trying it out multiple times, we finally got it to work properly. First, we had Jessica play Flappy Bird game on her phone and see what the brain waves look like and how concentrated she is at that moment. The Brain Visualizer showed a burst of purple waves, which are high frequency Beta waves that reflected her state of concentration. We have also attempted to recognize a pattern of brain waves whenever she lost the game. However, we did not come to a complete conclusion yet because the data had various kinds of waves displayed when she lost the game, mostly beta waves though. The brain activity was displayed throughout the whole brain and the waves were captured by all sensors. This could be explained by the fact that during the game Jessica was using both her occipital and frontal lobes which associate with planning out actions and vision respectively.

    We finally got good connection.
Activity in the frontal lobe of her brain.

Lots of high frequency Beta Waves indicate concentration.
