Today in class we looked at different types of antennas. We learned about Bels and deci Bels. We did a lot of math stuff with the bels and the intensity of the antenna. We talked about all the different kinds of antennas.
- parabolic dishes
- Yagi antennas - long and thin
- Sector antennas - cellular antennas (very expensive, wide range 90 to 180 degrees, but only 3 degrees vertically)
- Omni antennas - circular antenna (only has circular range)
Then we talked a little about Watts.
- laptop and phones - 10 mW
- nano - 80 mW
- bullet 2 - 200 mW
- 2H - 500 mW
- rocket 2 - 800 mW
