Today I spent a lot of time working on teaching myself how to code. I'm actually really interested in it and am enjoying it so far, despite learning the most basic aspects. I'm beginning to appreciate the arithmetic of computer science, which is something I never would've been able to say prior to starting learning about Python. I'm actually more interested in coding than I am my current project, but I know I have to finish. I'm really inconsistent when it comes to finishing things, so it's important to me that I persevere and complete my project as much as I can this semester. I'm still waiting to hear back from the doctor I emailed last week and last semester. I'm hoping he will respond; he has in the past. His advice would be really helpful at this point, as I'm struggling to create defining points for my research and am not sure how to execute the tests. If not, I will have to dig a little deeper and figure it out myself. I'm really enjoying coding and hope to do more of it in the future, even though it doesn't really align with most of my academic interests. I'm sure there's a way to incorporate coding into the things I enjoy and I look forward to potentially mastering it at some point.
