Semester Weblog

This year was different for me and some of the CodeHS felt like a lot of review for me. but when we started having Dr. Bill as our teacher I felt that I was learning so much more. Even though CoadeHS was reviewed I liked doing the MAth Tester project where I was writing code on my own computer, then working to where I could fix it and rewrite it to my liking. When I started Arduino I was just amazed being able to blink a light was bliss for me. I quite enjoyed it. I'm enjoying this last project very much I wasn't ever good with computer stuff, but I honestly now feel that I have a great grasp on it now.

Pre-Dr. Bill:

CodeHs-
-Easy to learn
-Guided videos to teach how to type code
-Learn shortcuts
"Personally I didn't enjoy this as much because it isn't consistent with how it's

Terminal
-Moderate
-Fun to start
-Learning how to write your own code to work on your own computer.
"I enjoyed this part very much, learning how to write good code and the satisfying feeling of completing a program."

Post-Dr. Bill:

Arduino
-Easy to Challeging
-Alot of physical wiring
-Exact positioning for wires and working for the code.
"I enjoyed working with somebody and making it a semi-cmeptition. It gets really fun when you get to made this work its very satisfying doing cool stuff like that."

Rasberry Pi
-Easy stepup on personal computer
-Small board
-Learning to Write code based off a programs such as Python and Scratch
"I enjoyed navigating the Raseberry Pi and playing some of the mini games."

Scavenger Hunt
-Learn your strengths and weaknesses through different types of programing through clues and teamwork.
-Learn about your assigned type of programing.
"I was assigned the Seven Segment Display, and I enjoyed writing the code and learning how to wire and rewire arduino boards."

Today I and Geno found a computer to step up our Arduino and Seven Segment 4 Digit number. We began to rewire the project because we couldn't figure out what was wrong with it smh. We like our idea for the big project that is coming up.

This week I had just finished Arduino and began working on the RasberryPi. I was very ecstatic when I had finished and accomplished the entire module.I liked the little games I had played Soccer with Edowardo and straight SCHOOLED him 9-3. I began reading but have not yet started but so far I enjoy learning about how RasberryPi would soon work.

Working with Geno on 3.5 Four Digit Seven Segment Display. It's really confusing with all the different colored wires and the board isn't the same as the one in the picture. Even thought its very confusing I personally like this challenge because it pushes me to focus even harder on it. I haven't finished the project yet but I think I should complete it by next class.

Did 2.4-2.9 of Arduino with semi-difficulty and a dash of laziness. I mainly worked with the mic-head playing around with it and trying to figure out how I am gonna use the new mic system and figure out how sensitive it is in different environments.

Finished 2.3 with Geno
Becoming difficult to execute with all the wiring and completcations, but I am enjoying the challenge. I can't wait to start the raspberry pi.

Today I and Geno finished 2.1 and began 2.2 of the Uno R3 Project.
It's pretty easy it's similar to the original Arduino stuff we did but I can't think of anything difficult. I honestly am getting bored just wiring and unwiring. just over and over. I would like to build something big, something a bit more challenging.
I want to work towards something with a finish.
