This week in ISR I started working a lot on the NASA Ames project. We decided to name our space settlement Hoku Ehu, which is stardust in Hawaiian. We are still working on the design for the settlement, as we are trying to think of other ideas besides the torus design. There is a lot of benefits to the torus design but it is not very original. One thing we are also considering is having the different parts not actually be attached together but instead being help together with magnetism, so they can break apart and travel in different directions.

I have also been doing some research into Quantum Energy Teleportation, which could make it possible to cut the communication time to Mars down from 20 minutes to 3.5, which is about the time it takes light to travel from Earth to Mars. Here is the paper I am currently reading:
