Today is a very active day for the sun !!! Sunspot AR2529 is spewing out tons of radiation and particles, and earlier this morning produced a large M6.7-class solar flare. This is the most activity we've seen from the sun in months, so this is quite exciting !! There isn't much chance that this flare will hit us, because AR2529 isn't facing Earth directly. However, there is also a large coronal hole forming in the upper hemisphere of the sun's surface, which is producing lots of solar wind and shifting the magnetic fields around. I will continue to track this coronal hole throughout the week.
