Oculus Rift Networking (8/29/2014)

Currently, we experience connections between computers within a two dimensional space.
Pages can have dynamic and engaging content, but are limited to a plane.
This can be applied to a three dimensional space however, by stripping down an webpage to it's core parts; content and links.
By using this method, a webpage can be represented not as a plane, but a room, filled with content, and having doors that link to other rooms.
This is the premise of James McCrae's beautiful Janus program, which integrates with the Oculus Rift, to allow the user to literally walk through the internet.
What is even more amazing however, is the fact that rooms are dynamically rendered, meaning that it can connect to any HTML file, not just pre-made ones.
however, he does provide the source code to add dynamic content to each room
I will look into implementing these methods, as this is the next logical step towards a far more versatile interface than a preconfigured .EXE.
Also, I found out how to work with full screen applications while using the Oculus Rift as an extended monitor.
You have to hold Fn+F11 to enter windowed mode and then drag that window into the Oculus Rift.
