Semester 2: week 5 - 2/7-14/2017

Jackson:

This week ended with International day which was a great opportunity for us to talk to international students and get good audio “footage”. Going into international day was a great opportunity for asa and I too practice planning. We broke down international day by time slots and decided what would be good workshops to attend and get audio for. Then we look at what angles or themes we wanted to explore which, involved creating a basic questions list. On the day itself I had a great time messing around getting interesting audio. It was a great experience to practice getting audio and interviews done outside of the studio, it made us have to solve problems with environmental factors and interference like wind and acoustics. The audio we got will be great to use in a podcast about international day and beyond.

Asa:

This week I have wrapped up the edit of Mr. Bleckel. I just need to work on adding music into his speech. We were getting ready to record for international day on monday and have set up a google doc on how to approach, by getting white noise of the crowd, the chanting, the classes and many different languages that will be there. I also recorded the tech boys (dillon and jaxon) and that interview didnt go as well as i planned because they were talking basically in bullet points which is opposite of what we want. THE END WORDCOUND YAY
