Semester 2: week 6 - 2/14-21/2017

Jackson:

We interviewed Diane and and Bill Savage. Bill and Diane started a nonprofit that provides clean water sources to communities in africa. Bill is also a former students of HPA who graduated in the 60’s. In our interview we were able to talk about his time at HPA and how it developed in him qualities that fostered a lifetime of service. I also interviewed Will Savage and Tristan Sienkewitz. We were able to talk about their passion of surf photography and artistic energy.

Asa:

This week we recorded Bill and Diane Savage. Bill graduated from HPA in 1961. He described the campus really well, giving us a glimpse into the HPA community’s past. He was interesting to talk to because he really idolized James Taylor and constantly would quote him, according to his life. Jackson later suggested the idea of making the interview into 2 podcasts because of the very different topics of each half, one about africa and their organization, and one about HPA community way back when. This is a good idea because then we can both work on the “same” podcast at the same time which splits up our workload really well.
