Today, I worked on my golf cart. I wrote code for a Python control structure for what I envision my final design being (for manual control).

I found Raspberry Pi modules for basically every function I want to be able to do - the most intriguing being a GPS hat, instead of using the time- and labor-intensive RFID process I had previously thought of. I am still not sure about what I will do for actually controlling the fake "gas pedal" - maybe a transistor and/or relay? In any case, I found a circuit diagram of the motor controllers for the golf cart, so I will be able to study it and determine the best way of doing it.
