Weekly Weblog 4/30/16

This week, I made serious progress on the golf cart project. I set up a Raspberry Pi with remote control capabilities (accessible over the golf cart wifi), I researched how the Phidgets on the boat work, and I created a prototype control structure in Python. I also think that I may use GPS instead of the RFID idea I had before. As for the structural component, I discovered that (very helpfully) there are two major structural bars across the area I want to put my steering-wheel control! I still need to figure out how I will control the accelerator without physically moving the pedal - I am thinking of using a transistor/relay setup.
