This week, I only attended the first two classes, as there was a storm in kohala during my first class and I couldn't get to school. The first two classes, we spent all our time talking. In the first one, we talked with Dr. Bill about our projects, then with Oliver, Angelina, and Brianna about the Moon Base Summit and everything they learned. It sounded really fun, and they showed us some really cool things they talked about during the event. The second day, we had a guest speaker from Keck Observatories who talked with us about a vision of a new visitor information center on Mauna Kea, and he asked us for input about what we think it should entail. It was really fun to work on something that is very probable to happen, and also so interesting and relevant to us here on the island. He also taught us about some ways to collaborate to come up with ideas when in a group, and how to organize meetings and presentations. I feel it was a very good class and beneficial as we are all prospective presenters.
