    Quarter 3 Summary

This quarter we were told to pick an independent project and work at it.
I myself tied this class in with my independent and worked on my wireless telecommunication integration into the DJI Phantom Drone.

The goal is to use the drone pictured below and attach a raspberry pi microcomputer in junction with a wireless module to create an emergency wireless broadcasting station/repeater. There are other purposes aswell, it is possible for it to access the security faults of wireless networks.

The OS or Operating System that I had to install onto the Raspberry Pi was the hardest part of the project. The amount of troubleshooting and tweaking I had to go through was ridiculous.
Once installed though, I started using it's tools almost immediately.
This is the guide I used to format the SD Card via iMac.
And this is the basic start up guide for the PwnPi OS.

Once installed I was able to take full advantage of every tool available. In total there are over 200 tools for use.
More information on the pwnpi OS can be found here.
The tools vary from Stress Testing to Vulnerability assessment.

Pictured above is a "siege" program or a stress testing program. It simulates 200 users attempting to retrieve information on the server at address 10.14.250.2

We've also had other applications for the Phantom Drone.
The main reason we were able to get them was for a coastal surgery project down on the Kohala coast.
THe idea was that we could fly over the land and survey it from a bird's eye view, stitch the images together, and overlay it on a 3D topographical map to get a "google earth" like feel in high detail of private property.

I've also done a project for Mr. Noetzel where I hovered over to pool and recorded his swimmer's strokes to see if from a different angle.

We've also been approached by PR to create a short reel for the Taylor Commons.

And my favorite application is for a project Bo, Kenji, and I have been working on called, "Hawaii from the skies"
We go from spot to spot around the island to film a beauty reel of the island from a sky perspective.
