Over these past two years I have done a stock market analytics project. My original proposal was to make an app to track stock market data and make easy to read, anyone can read, just friendly stock advice via an iPhone application. However I think I encountered some roadblocks on various aspects, but I was able to overcome all but the iPhone app. I did not have any collaboration with anyone on my project, any help was strictly from me either asking for help or people bringing up new ideas for me. Overall I think that made this project maybe a bit harder at times but overall I think it worked well as then I was able to be in control and control how the the data was analyzed. My project leaves behind a lot of ideas for people who want to get involved in business but also tech. I think some areas people could expand upon is foreign currency, and how to better manipulate data for ones advantage. These project ideas can span from anything for use for a good cause or a bad, all depending on how they use it. I can see this project being picked up by someone who also just wants to learn how the stock market works and the ins and outs of trading and trying to figure out in a controlled environment how their predictions hold up against a computer simulated one, and then against the real market. The world is controlled by data and this project is just one of many that can be used to better understand big data and how to break it down. Overall my year in ISR I feel was rather successful as I was able to fully learn R-Programming (a statistical reasoning and big data program) as well as run a somewhat basic app to predict the stock market based off of the moving avgs and time in between slopes. Also I was able to connect one raspberry pi running my R-Program to another that ran my database. However the one issues I did have was the iPhone app part. Possibly that issue could have been from not wanting to deal with iOS development or laziness but overall I think it was not necessary in the end for my goals, but rather a side addition to try and take it to a wider margin of people. In all I feel like I accomplished a lot these past two years and I hope that someone takes my place in doing a project revolving around economics as it is a key part of our society that is rather fascinating, which is more important than any technology, science, entertainment, or anything except for government.
