6/8/15-6/12/15

6/8:

9-5 Today I tried to get a keypad to work using raspberry pi.
Basically I tried to find and enable a library to be able to program a library with some help from a post online. here is what it looked like:

Here is the test program for it:
There are some issues with these scripts that I will try to debug.
This was basically something to do today to continue using Raspberry Pi and Python.

6/9:

5-9
Today Davy and I worked on an app to allow us to bridge the Netatmo Data to the Mango program in order to display the data on a separate interface. Here is what the process looked like today:

6/10:
Today we attempted to find the issue with the app we started yesterday. We are still unsure why the code is not working fully.

We also set up the Mac Pro:

The black cylindrical object on the left is the Mac Pro which is hooked up to the 4k Dell monitor on the right.

6/12:

9-5
Today we worked further on the app. Here is the documentation of what we did together:

After Davy left I continued to work on it. I decided to look at token url we obtained, which, when searched displayed text with "devices" followed by what turned out to be the MAC addresses of the the main modules after checking the devices MAC addresses on the netatmo website. This is important because it confirms that the tokens are in fact correct. The next step is setting them to access the data.

Week summary: This week Davy and I worked on the app that should allow us to access data from the Netatmo's with Mango. We have made some pretty good progress yet we still have some work to do to get the app to actually access the data. That will be a step to come. Also this week I worked on python scripts and raspberry pi as I have been. In addition we set up the Mac Pro which is a very good computer. I look forward to using it more and doing some programming stuff (Xcode) on it soon.
