I worked on using hydra on linux today. It is such an interesting program. I tried to use the program to infiltrate ari's computer. First, I used his mac address to verify which computer I was targeting by checking the first letters against the year and make. I knew her password so I input it on a list that I referenced tin hydra. When I attacked her IP, hydra chose to use FTP as the tunnel. It failed. I wanted ssh not ftp. I tried using ssh as the protocal and it gave me a deny message saying I hadn't set up a module needed to use ssh. Frustrating, I will have to try it on viritual unix on my windows computer.
