This week felt idle. I talked with Hawaii Volcano Observatory and with Hawaii County Civil Defense about shooting video. It seems like such a harmless and beneficial thing. Updates on the lava flow via drone would be a benefit to all and would not be dangerous. Despite this, both organizations were not able to or purposefully did not give me information on what I had to do to get permission to shoot the video. We got our drone simulator, but did not have time to test it. We practiced flying and filming techniques. We shot video of the solar array above the energy lab. We re-edited the video that we took of the beach cleanup. Final cut has the ability to correct small shaking, but we would rather do this mechanically than digitally be getting a nuetral density filter.
