This week in ISR I sent in my parts list and where to find them to Dr. Bill, so my parts for my muon detector should hopefully be here by next week. I also have become quite familiar with InkScape, and feel that I have gotten quite good with the program, and now I am simply trying to decide what to engrave onto the case for my muon detector. For CFHT I worked with Greg on fixing the solid works program, which now runs very well in EDrawings. I also fixed the sizing error on the hexagons; the inside one was a little bit too small which was throwing the entire model off. I have now started building it again, but this time I am having no connection or overlap errors. In Classical Dynamics of Particle Systems, I have read chapter 2. Finally, in terms of Particle World, I am almost done with the Standard Model page as I have finished the quarks and lepton sections, and now I simply have to do the bosons.
Next Week Goals:
- Muon Detector- I am simply waiting for parts to arrive for this project.
- CFHT Model - Now that I have SolidWorks working and fixed the sizing, I would like to finish stage 1 given that no other problems come up.
- Particle World - Finish Standard Model Page, Start on Particle Catalog Page
- Classical Dynamics of Particle Systems - Read chapters 3 and 4
