Day 5: UNIX WAR

Today, the class was put in a scenario where an attacker had the objective of attempting to ssh into a computer and do a set of tasks. After this, the suspect was supposed to set a shutdown of a time of 1 minute.

The victim had the task of trying to stop the attacker by using ssh to control the suspect's computer, kill their ssh, and then attempt to do the same tasks the suspect was trying to do.

I was the victim for the first two attempts:

The first attempt was a failure because I was trying to see all of the possible commands to use to counter-attack, which made me lose my guard and had my computer shutdown.

The second attempt was successful because I noticed that the attacker was in sooner, and instantly sshd into his computer. I opened safari with a nice video from youtube, and followed it with a shutdown.
