Today in class we welcomed a new member, Sameer. His project is on building a sustainable homes for Jamaicans in need of a more reliable, cheaper, and sustainable homes. Sameer hopes to form living units from shipping containers that will last exceedingly longer than life in tents. Sameer, if you are interested in printing a 3D Model of a prototype living unit, please let me know, I would love to help.

On the other hand (literally), I have made noticeable progress in starting up my project. From open source information and my knowledge on 3D printing, I have managed to print the palm as well as the complete thumb section, and I began to print the first finger joint. The palm itself took about 42 hours to complete and all other finger joints and tips take anywhere from 1-3 hrs. Next class I will begin to put the pieces together and I will find servo motors to control the tendons of each finger.
